Autocrossers Incorporated - Sat, Aug 10, 2019 Autocross/Solo II

August 10 dial in day
9 Registered

Autocrossers Inc Dial-in Day:

This event is not a traditionally timed event and is geared for experienced drivers to work on their cars and their driving in a more relaxed atmosphere. At each dial-in day, AI committee members - some of the most experienced drivers in the region - will be around and available to help with car evaluation, setup changes, and limited driver coaching.

Restricting the number of drivers to just 20 means those drivers will have plenty of track time to experiment with setup changes over the course of the day. While those drivers will be expected to work some portions of the day, the balance is theirs to get in as many runs as they wish during the hours that the course is available. All runs will be timed so those drivers will be able to track their progress as they fine-tune their cars over the course of the day.

The day is broken into 45 minute segments starting at 9:00 a.m. and ending at 4:00 p.m. Before the course goes hot in the morning, drivers will choose segments to work course to ensure displaced cones are reset and the track remains safe to run. Any time those drivers are not working, they are free to make as many runs as they like.

There will be a one hour lunch break during which the course may be reversed.

Note: This is not a drivers school and is not intended for people without previous autocross experience.

Event registration is $135 for SCCA members and limited to the first 20 registered individuals.  A wait list will be available after the registration limit is met.  People on the wait list will be invited to register for the event in the order they signed up in case of any cancellations.

Non-SCCA members will need to get a weekend membership to participate.  $10 will be added to the registration fees during signup.

Cancellations must be received prior to midnight on Tuesday, August 6 to qualify for a refund.  After this date refunds will only be provided if the available space can be filled from the wait list.

Multiple drivers in a single car:  Multiple drivers in a single car are allowed under a single registration.  Only one of the drivers is required to work.  However, the other drivers may not use the course during the assigned work times.  An additional $20 will need to be paid to cover insurance and sanction fees.  Please contact the registrar to make arrangements for additional drivers.
