To add classes to the system you select Classes from the Administration Menu. This
will bring up the classes page (see figure 1).

If you have administration privileges for more than one club select the club you
are here to administer. After you select the club the Event Type dropdown will be
populated with the event types you have privileges to administer. Select the desired
Event Type to add classes for that Event Type.
If classes have already been created for this Event Type they will be displayed
in the table at the bottom of the page.
If you have administration privileges for more than one club or event type you can
copy classes from one of the other clubs or event types by clicking the Copy From
button. Clicking this button will display now controls to use to select the club
and event type to copy the classes from (see figure 2).

Adding
To add a class complete the fields and click Add. The fields are defined in the
table below.

Class Name

The long name for the class.

Abbreviation
|
The class abbreviation. This is the value that will be displayed to the driver during
registration.

Pax
|
The PAX (Professional Auto-X) index has been used by clubs for several years. It
is a handicapping system that attempts to account for some of the differences between
cars, allowing drivers to compare their performances. The technique assigns a PAX
index to each class of car; the faster the car, the higher the index. Each driver's
actual time around the course is multiplied by his car's index to calculate his
PAX'd time. PAX'd times can then be compared across classes.

Modifiable
|
If you have setup class modifiers only classes that have this checked will be modified.

Editing
To edit an existing class click the edit icon next to the class you want to edit.
The controls defined above will be loaded with the current class information. Make
the desired changes and click the Update button.
Deleting
There are two ways to delete classes. To delete a single class simply click the
delete icon on the row of the class you want to delete.
To delete several classes at once use the check boxes to select all the classes
you want to delete then click the small delete icon at the bottom of the column.
