This feature allows drivers to be placed on a waitlist once the maximum number of
drivers has registered for the event. When a driver attempts to register for a full
event they will be informed that the maximum number of drivers has registered and
be given an option to be placed on a waitlist (see Figure 1).
Figure 1
When a driver chooses to be placed on the waitlist they will be shown the original
entry form with an additional note (see Figure 2). Payment for the event is not
captured when placed on a waitlist. When the driver is given an invitation to register
for the event payment will be captured.
Figure 2
When a driver is currently on a waitlist a new section appears on the My Account
page (see Figure 3). This new section list all the events for which the driver is
on the waitlist. From this section the driver may edit or cancel their information.
Figure 3
The event administrator may view the current drivers waiting from the Registration
menu under Management. From the Registered Drivers section select the Waitlist as
the Action. To allow a driver to register you must ‘Invite’ the driver
by clicking the invite link next to the driver’s name (see Figure 4). When
you click the link the system sends the driver an email with a link that will allow
them to register for the event (see Figure 5). A register icon will also appear
next to the event on the My Account page for the driver (see Figure 6). The driver
must accept the invitation within the number of hours entered in the ‘Invitation
Hours’ text box.
Once the driver accepts the invitation they will be charged for the event if your
club has chosen to take payment online. If the driver never accepts the invitation
the table will show the invitation as expired (see Figure 7). The driver’s
record will remain in the waitlist report even after they have registered. The record
will show that the driver registered for the event.
