To access the Add Events page select Add Event from the Management
Menu, or click the Add Event link from the Maintain Events page. When adding events to the calendar
it is important to remember that each club is responsible for their own events.
Please do not add events under your
club that are hosted by another club. If a club is not listed on DLBRacing.com please
contact us
to have the club added. We can also give your account permission to update that
clubs events. Below you will find a description of each section on this page.
Prerequisites
You must have administrative permission over a club. For more information contact DLBRacing.com about getting to correct permissions.
General Information
Club:
The Club dropdown will contain all the clubs you have administrative rights over.
Select the club for which you want to add an event.
Event Type:
Select the event type for the event you are adding to the calendar. This will allow
the driver to filter the list of events by type and quickly locate events of interest.
If an event type is not listed contact DLBRacing.com to have the event type added.
Start/End Date:
This date is where the event will show up on the calendar. If your club is powered
by DLBRacing.com drivers will be able to download your event into their Microsoft

on each day.
Title:
The title is a single line name of the event. This value is display on DLBRacing.com
to allow the driver to identify the event on the site.
Description:
This description will be displayed when the user clicks the date of the event to
request additional information. You may enter up to 4000 characters describing the
event. You can cut and paste from Microsoft Word and retain all the formatting.
No need to know HTML. Feel free to use hyper links to draw visitors to your site
and additional information about the event. Be sure and add a target="_top"
or target="_blank" to all your links, because clubs are embedding this
calendar in their home pages using IFrames. Without the target set the link will
be displayed in the IFrame and may not appear correctly. However, be aware that
the clubs home page address will be shown in the WebSite column of the date details.
So I would encourage you not to waste characters repeating that information.
Location:
Enter the location of the event.
Address, City, State and Zip:
If you enter the Address,
City State
and Zip/Postal Code and a weather image will be displayed on the entry list for
events where drivers can register online at DLBRacing.com. The system will also
provide driving directions for the driver from their home to the event.

your event in the calendar will have a small checkered flag next to it that if clicked
will send your visitor straight to the event results. You can return after the event
and update this information.

This is just the raw URL of the page containing the pictures from the event. If
added your event in the calendar will have a small camera next to it that if clicked
will send your visitor straight to the event pictures. You can return after the
event and update this information.
Alternate Home Page for Event:
Enter a URL here for the event if you do not want the user to be sent to the clubs
home page.
Hide Event:
While you are setting up an event you may want to hide it from the calendar. If
you check the Hide Event check box the event will not appear on the calendar. However,
if you send the URL out people will be able to register for the event. This is a
good way to run an invitation only event.
