CFR SCCA OCCC – Two Day, Double Points Event - Solo 2017 Points #13 & #14

Registration Closure:                         5:00 PM on August 18th (Friday)

Participant Cap:                                  The number of participants is capped at 160 drivers

This event will be held at the very interesting Orange County Convention Center LOT #D in Orlando, FL.  This Saturday/Sunday event will be 2017 Championship Points Events #13 and #14.  Awards for each class will be awarded and class championship points will be accrued for both days! NOTE: You need not compete both days to earn points; awards and points for each day, Saturday and Sunday, will be awarded separately for each day as individual events.

This two-day event will also be a designated CFR SCCA Charity event for the “Organization for Autism Research” (www.researchautism.org), a highly rated charity organization dedicated to raising and providing funds for autism research and services. We are pledging $7 per participant, along with the excess funds collected for the “Two-Day PAX Championship” (see below), as well as any donations collected at the site, to be given to the “Organization for Autism Research”.

The “Two-Day OCCC PAX Showdown”

In addition to the two-day points events, a separate (optional) “Two-Day OCCC PAX Showdown” will be held as a “contest within a contest”. The “Two-Day OCCC PAX Showdown” will require an added optional $10 entry fee that can be paid online with your two day points event registration, or collected at registration Saturday morning on-site (cash or check only). This fee is only for those wishing to participate in the “Two-Day OCCC PAX Showdown”. You must be registered for both days points events and pay the separate fee to be elligible. Novice Street (NS) and Novice Race (NR) entrants are not elligible to participate. Practice class and STO entrants ARE elligible to participate.

This contest will award cash prizes (that’s right, folks; CASH!) to the best five (5) two-day combined time PAX scores. Note that if we have less than 20 entrants, only the best three (3) PAX scores will be awarded. The $10 extra entry fee will be used to fund the prizes with prizes awarded as follows:

                    1st Place $100

                    2nd Place $75

                    3rd Place $50

4th Place $40 (awarded only if 20 or more participants)

5th Place $30 (awarded only if 20 or more participants)

If the collected “Two-Day OCCC PAX Showdown” fees exceed the prize award total, any extra funds collected will be added to our donation to the “Organization for Autism Research”.

Participants in the “Two-Day OCCC PAX Showdown” will be limited to individuals who have not driven the course prior to their competition runs. I.e., our normal special provisions for instructors, and/or for course check-runs will not apply for the “Two-Day OCCC PAX Showdown”. Ride-alongs are allowed per our normal restrictions.  Also, participants are expected to run when their chosen class runs; weather impacts, if they occur, are a part of the game. Participants can run a different class each day if so desired.

Important: If you cancel your registration by closure of registration on DlbRacing.com, (5:00 PM August 18th), you will receive a full refund. If you try to cancel after that time, or if you do not show up on the morning of the event and we have not reached the event cap of 160 during the registration period, you will receive a partial refund of your event fees minus $10 for each day you were registered for and did not show up. IMPORTANT: If we reach the event cap of 160 participants anytime during the registration period, no refunds will be given unless you cancel your registration through DlbRacing.com prior to closure of registration, 5:00 PM, Friday, August 18th.

At-site registrations will be allowed only at the approval of the Registrar and the Event Chair. This decision will be made the day of the event based on schedule factors. At-site registrations should not normally be expected.

If you intend to pay using a completed punch card, you must send an email to cfrsolo2@gmail.com with the subject line “Punch Card Payment”.  This must occur at least one day prior to closure of registration (Closure is 5:00 PM May 20th) in order to allow us to register your punch card as a credit for use in the DlbRacing.com checkout process.
