The thundering stock cars of the NASCAR Camping World Series (formerly Grand National West Series) return to Miller Motorsports Park for a second year to tackle the demanding 3.08-mile Perimeter Course. These heavy cars are difficult to manhandle around a road course, and last year's event was thrilling from start to finish. Don't miss your chance to get the best of both worlds -- stock cars and road racing!

Support races will include the Pacific F2000 Championship, and MPRA.

Formula 2000 has been a popular series throughout the world for decades, serving as the launching pad for the careers of many top racers. In America, notable Formula 2000 alumni include Champ Car World Series champions Jimmy Vasser and Paul Tracy and Indianapolis 500 winners Buddy Rice, Dan Wheldon and Sam Hornish, Jr. The Pacific F2000 Championship is a six-event, 12-race series racing in California, Nevada and Utah. The drivers primarily utilize Van Diemen chassis, powered by sealed, 2.0-liter Ford engines sourced from the Ford Focus road car. Engine modifications are not allowed, putting the emphasis on chassis set-up and driver skill.

We are in need of  MANY volunteers to help us with flagging and communications. Please come out and get the best seat in the house!

Two guest tickets per volunteer are available for Saturday. I will be handling these at the check-in each morning.

Registration and Tech 2:30 pm until 8:00 pm

Level 1 - Your day begins at 8:00 AM sharp. The classroom sessions cover, among other things, car dynamics, drivers dynamics, car balance, skid characteristics, safety, basic race rules. This classroom session may be run continuously or between drive sessions. Participants are outfitted with helmets, racing uniforms and assigned to cars. The morning consists of several skill exercises to get you use to the cars and the demands of the afternoon lapping sessions.

We will supply almost everything you need for a great day. Helmets, driving suits, beverages, lunch and even sunscreen are all provided. All that you really need to bring is a pair of shoes that do not have large grip type soles. A narrow shoe with a thin sole is ideal for pedal work. (Find out more) We provide the car, equipment and expertise - what you provide is curiosity and desire.

No qualifications are required beyond a valid drivers license and the desire to listen and learn. A certificate of achievement and an 8X10 color souvenir photo of you beside your race car will be presented during your graduation ceremony at days end.

Racing Adventures - Level II
Those graduates of one of the level one 'Racing Adventures' who want to explore the world of advance driving strategies and skill along with a lot of lapping should also take the level II racing school. We recommend that you do the level I and II on consecutive days or if this is not possible you can return on a later date to get the most out of the program.

The level one and two courses were designed together as two stand alone courses. But put on consecutive days they also form a complete course. If time and money permits the two courses fit well together. If not you can not take them together you can always come back for level II later!

This event is for TNT runs only.  You MUST run in class prior to running TNT runs.  You cannot run TNT if your class is running in the fourth heat.

You must present a valid Drivers License at check-in.

SCCA Members must show their membership card at check-in, Non Members will be required to fill out a temporary membership form at check-in to be covered under the SCCA insurance.

It's HOT out there and the drifting is going to be even HOTTER at the Daily Drifter Grind 101 event on August 17th.  We took a bit of a break from GGP and have been doing the HMP events but now the wait is over. It's not too late to get your team together and participate in the series so call your friends and come out for a full day of drifting fun! No team? No problem! Come out for single run practice or find a team when you get there! Instructors will be on hand as always for those wanting to learn.

This event is in the afternoon for testing and tuning your race car.  A valid competitors license will be required in order to participate in the test and tune portion.

Please refer back to this event as it may be cancelled if there is not enough interest.  Interest is at least 10 people registered in order to cover our club's costs.
